Sydney “Buzz” John Andrade, 76, of Naalehu died July 3, 2015, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born June 28, 1939, in Paia, Maui, he was a retired rancher and farmer, an Army veteran, member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Naalehu and Ka’u Roping Club.
Friends may call at 6 p.m. July 20 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may again call at 9 a.m. July 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No.2. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Dorothy Andrade of Naalehu; sons, Derek (Michelle) Andrade of Pahala, Brian (Michelle) Andrade of Washington; daughter, JoAnn (Ken) Polido of Kurtistown; sister, Sylvia (Gerald) Silva of Kaneohe, Oahu; brothers, LeRoy Andrade of Kona, Robert Andrade of Hilo; five grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Isidro Oandasan
Isidro Pacheco Oandasan, 76, of Kailua-Kona died July 11, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born May 10, 1939, in Illocos Sur, Philippines, he was a houseman at the Royal Kona Resort, member of Local 5 union and a former Merchant Marine.
Services were held July 16.
He is survived by wife, Erlinda Oandasan of Kailua-Kona; sons, Henry (Liezl) Oandasan of Maui, Adonis Oandasan of Kailua-Kona, Jesus (Tanya) Oandasan of Waimea; daughters, Rosalinda Oandasan of Kealakehe, Gloria (Divigio) Miralles, Susan (Resty) Galves, Maggie (Rogene) Agatep, Marites (Ezequiel) Agatep, all of Kailua-Kona, Joan (Adrian) Granderson of San Antonio, Texas, Madonna Oandasan of New York; brothers, Alejandro (Dolly) Oandasan of Hilo, Melanio (Elvira) Oandasan of the Philippines; sisters, Ernestina Tenoso of the Philippines, Virginia (Onesimo) Arellano of Kailua-Kona; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Harris Moku Sr.
Harris Kailianu Moku Sr., 90, of Hawi died June 29, 2015, at Kohala Hospital. Born May 4, 1925, in Niulii, Kohala, he was a retired physical education teacher and coach at Kohala High School, member of Kohala Senior Citizens, Hawaiian Civic Club and Kohala Senior Softball Team and a World War II Army veteran.
Friends may call from 8 to 9 a.m. July 18 at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church for visitation. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome. Burial will follow at Hawi County Cemetery and a luncheon will follow at the Father Damien Church Hall.
He is survived by wife, Vivian Moku of Hawi; sons, “Butchie” Moku Jr. of Maui, Samuel Moku of Kohala; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Elspeth Vandaele
Elspeth “Pat” Kalani Reeves-Wilhelm Vandaele, 73, of Mountain View, died June 30, 2015, at her home. Born in Kaneohe, Oahu, she was retired from Hansen Distribution Inc.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. July 18 at Homelani Memorial Park chapel for a service. An inurment service will be held at 2 p.m. July 23 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Punchbowl on Oahu. Family requests casual attire be worn.

Leila Anne Rosario, 38, of Hilo died June 18, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Jan. 23, 1977, in Hilo, she was employed as a cook at Burger King Restaurant in Hilo.

She is survived by companion, Jacob Purdy of Hilo; daughter, Taysia Thomas of Volcano; sons, Xavier Rosario and Xanten Purdy-Rosario, both of Hilo; mother, Gayle Rosario of Ainaloa; sister, Dayna Poai of Pepeekeo; grandmother, Kinue Ito of Kurtistown; three grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Floyd Hayes
Floyd Vernon Hayes, 77, of Hilo died June 26, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 1, 1938, in Syracuse, N.Y., he was a retired factory worker.

He is survived by children and siblings on the Mainland and his hanai family, the Rodriquezes of Hawaii.

Masaru and Tokiko Hirota
Masaru Hirota, 95, of Honokaa died Feb. 18, 2015, at a private care home. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired teacher and vice principal at Honokaa High School.
Tokiko Nagao Hirota, 89, of Honokaa died April 7, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Lahaina, Maui, she was a retired teacher at Honokaa Elementary School.
Private family services were held.
They are survived by daughter, Gayle Hirota of Vista, Calif.; sons, Neal Hirota of Grinnell, Iowa, Lyle Hirota of Hilo; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Tokiko Hirota is additionally survived by brother, George (Alma) Nagao of Honolulu; sister, Haru Nakamura of Lahaina, Maui.

Sumie “Sue” Tajiri, 91, of Hilo died July 8, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born March 27, 1924, in Hilo, she was the retired proprietress for the former Tajiri Seafoods.

She is survived by son, Bruce Tajiri of Hilo; daughter, Evelyn (Kurt) Garbo of Hilo; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
